Requested by gabrielsangel: If requests are still going on, any chance I could get Hannibal stealing Will's voice in Palette 30?
This is one of my favorite palettes, I've to say.
Will started at the parchment, his name clearly at the base. He
reached out to touch it, but it vanished only a moment later. His heart
rate sped up, his mind trying to deduce if he'd swam into some sort of
trap. Of course, making a deal with the most infamous figure under the
sea wasn't the safest of choices, but he'd come too far to turn back
now. He turned to speak to the Warlock when a paralyzing sensation
filled him, freezing him in midwater. He cursed himself, trying to move
his arms, his tail, nothing. Apart from his eyes, he was completely
still. This was trap! "Bastard," Will thought. "Of course it was a
trap." How could he be so foolish?!
One of the warlock's silky
tentacles enclosed around his wrist, stilling him even more as a
powerful hand rested upon Will's abdomen, drawing the young merman
closer to the Warlock. He tried to pull back, but his body no longer
responded to his commands. He felt the smooth skin of the Walock's back
against his own. It felt alive, but cool, only a heart beat indicating
that the man behind him was alive. He felt the Warlock's cheek against
his hair, catching the slightest sound of him inhaling the scent.
"Don't be afraid, Will," his soft voice floated into Will's ear. "It won't hurt."
Out
of the corner of his eye, he saw the Warlock's hand come up to his
throat. His fingers just barely touching the skin above Will's Adam's
Apple. From the lips next to his ear, Will began to hear a foreign
language, words outside of any tongue spoken under the sea. Suddenly, he
noticed a warm glow coming from his neck, right beneath Hannibal's
fingers. A tingling sensation began as Hannibal's fingers pressed into
the skin. The tingling became sharp for a moment, as though a leach had
attached itself to Will's neck, sinking it's teeth into the delicate
flesh. He breathed sharply as Hannibal pulled his hand away, a cry of
pain escaping his mouth...
Or... It should have.
Will's
eyes shot open, focused on the sight before him, a small glowing ball of
lightly floating delicately in the Warlock's hand. He enclosed his
fingers around it and almost instantly, it vanished. Locked away in a
place only the darkest magic could reach.
The warlock released
him and Will felt the control return to his body, his fingers flying to
his neck as he found himself mute, no longer able to make even the
smallest of sounds. The Warlock smiled, presenting him with a small
vial.
"A fair trade, I think," he said. "Enjoy your legs, dear
Will..." He watched the little merman grab the vial, swimming away as
quickly as he could.
"While you are able to."
