Perfect Affair
It was the strange rubbing sensation at
the bottom of his feet that pulled Dr. Lecter’s attention from his
dreams back into the world of reality. He reached up a rubbed the
bridge of his nose slightly. Had he fallen asleep? For how long.
“Kinda rude to fall asleep with
company present.”
Hannibal was not one to startle, but
his heart did skip a slight beat as he sat up, looking over to see
Alana standing at the foot of his bed, her fingers resting lightly on
the tips of his toes under the covers.
The events from earlier came back to
him; The dinner for two they’d shared, the horrible weather, the
offer to Alana to have her stay in one of his guest rooms rather than
have her risk driving in such a storm. Was he missing something? Why
had she come to his bedroom?
He glanced her over, from head to toe,
looking at her body in the soft light of his bedside lamp. Not a
blemish on her skin, hair that fell over her shoulders with an almost
heavenly perfection, though her dark red underwear suggested
something much more devious. He gave a half smile.
“You look good enough to eat,” he
said. Alana tossed her hair to the side, laughing slightly.
“And yet you seem more tired than
hungry.”
“Oh I think I could have a nibble or
two,” he said.
“Well,” Alana smiled, lowering
herself down till she was directly over his silk-covered legs. “I
think I can manage that.”
It was her tone that caught Hannibal
off guard. No… Unless he was mistaken, and he was fairly certain he
was not… He swallowed slightly, hoping to hold onto the joke.
“I think you’d find my nibbles a
little too permanent,” He said, suddenly noticing her slow crawl up
onto the bed, not unlike a cat about to pounce upon a kill.
“So long as I can cover them during
the work day, I’m not sure if it matters,” Alana smiled, a little
wickedly.
Hannibal sat up, now fully aware of
what was going on as she came closer, reaching up to kiss him. His
heart began to race.
“Wait,” He said, catching her cheek
before her lips could meet his. Alana pulled back, staring at him.
“What?” She asked, her eyes
searching his face. “Is something wrong?”
“Not that I am not highly flattered,”
Hannibal said, “But what brought this on?”
Alana raised an eyebrow. “The
invitation?”
Hannibal blinked. “I beg your
pardon.”
“You said, “Your room is rather
brisk. If you desired a more enjoyable night’s sleep, you’re
welcome to share my bed.” Alana said.
It was only based on truth. That room
was the coldest room in the house and his bed was constantly at a
comfortable temperature.
Plus, he hadn’t actually expected her
to take him UP on the offer! He wracked his brain.
“I couldn’t possibly, Alana,” He
said, stroking her hair. “Not with you in this state.”
“State?” Her voice sounded flat.
“It’s merely the alcohol talking,”
he said. “I wouldn’t be a gentleman if I brought you into my bed
now.”
Alana crossed her arms. “Counting the
half-glass of wine I had before dinner and the half-glass of wine I
had at dinner and the fact that I know you know the amount of alcohol
it takes to get me drunk-“
That was a night they had both promised
to never speak of again.
“I think it’s safe to assume that I
am not drunk.”
“There was liquor in the dessert,”
Hannibal said.
“You know that burns off when you set
it on fire.” Alana said. “And you were the one-“
“Yes,” Hannibal leaned forward.
“Yes, I know I suggested me have an affair. He leaned up, kissing
her forehead. “But something as delicate as that takes
forethought.”
“Forethought?” Alana asked. “In
an affair? Aren’t they… I don’t know, usually spur of the
moment things?”
“When done wrong, they are.”
Hannibal leaned up, kissing Alana’s lips lightly, teasingly. “I
want our affair to be done perfectly.”
Alana’s frown slowly turned to a
smile. “How does one do a perfect affair, Dr. Lecter?”
“It is simple, my dear,” He pulled
her close, guiding her under his sheets. “We allow the whispers to
start before anything occurs, we build up the tension and the romance
until neither of us can bare it another second.”
Alana half smiled, snuggling close to
them. “Until then, I share your bed innocently?”
“Only as innocently as the rumors
say.”
Alana sighed into his chest, wrapping
her arms around him. “All right, Dr. Lecter,” She smiled. “I’ll
give you your perfect affair.” She leaned up and gave him her own
teasing kiss. “Now be a dear and turn out the light, would you?”
“Anything for you, my sweet,”
Hannibal said, shutting off the light, feeling her snuggle into his
chest. Deep in his mind, Hannibal released a great sigh of relief and
sank back into his pillows.
He needed a little more preperation and
notice than just a few minutes. Loosing one’s virginity is not
something to be taken lightly.
