One thing that is really unique about this show is that is elevating death, violence, at the level of art. Never saw something like that before. Never.
It's disturbing, but in an enjoyable way. It exorcise the fear with the art.

Flowers are joy and beauty, they're the smelling symbol of the nature, of the spring, but the can hide unexpected meanings. And they have a lot of time on-screen in Hannibal: this is one of things that I want back. Gimme flowers, please!

Yes. Yes yes yes yes. A new promo. I don't even like Bedelia (Not that sheispoorly writtenornonsense like, because the charactersofNBCHannibalare writtenallright ..it's just thatin the orderof my preferencesisvery lowbecauseI do not likethe characterstoocold and detached), but I'm reallyinterested, now, inwhatthis characterseemsto combineinthis new season...probably the"cold", the layer ofice, whichhe helduntil nowthe character of thiswomanneededtohide(with extremeclass)something. What?We have to go with order...
AndHannibalisundoubtedlyagreat man, or elsewe'd bewatchingfor? The showalso hasits name. Butwhat would bebehinda greatbig manlike him? There is... a great woman, of course.
So, now we know that Bedelia is a great woman too (not that Hannibal is a woman, but a person, yes... so they are two great... individuals).
Oh, that outfit. I'mItalianandI can assure youthat it is absolutelytheright style. Aside from beingbeautiful. Of course, I prefertheclassic suitsofHannibal, the three pieces with that not-tipical-colors, butthechangeisn't bad, right? It it was for me, Iwould dressHannibalina thousand different ways(except with someMadsMikkelsen's outfits, who are justMads'andon Hannibalthey would not be good). Itreminds me so muchthen, forvariousreasons, a gardenwitholive trees. I love it. And what we want to dowith "My wife and I would love to have you to dinner?" Hmm... family dinners. Family *cough*cannibal*cough* dinners are the best.
And here is our family dinner... But look atBedelia! Straight out of anovel-comic-fanfiction. Goodies likethisare rarely foundinotherTV series. And then she has justthe conductwhich theperfect wife must have. Allpoliteandcuteshe, whobrings thetraylike a goodhostess...butwe know thatthere issomething underneath. Notunder the tray, eh. Beneath the surfaceof that behavior.
Hannibalsmilingall cute. Seemingly happy. SomehowI get the feelingthat he can notbereallyhappy, buthe istrying. Andmaybe, a little, hefeelsserene, yes. Andthe jinglein the background"So happy together"...shaping upalreadythatthey will not beso happy together.
Bedeliarespondspolitely to the smile. Not tooexpansive. Nottoo happy. Somewhatsatisfied, thatis. Indeed, muchsatisfied. Butthat expressionannoys me, because that's exactly the face of my mother when she's satisfied of how shebotherme.
And not only me...
@HannibalArt I was thinking the same thing actually.
Thatisa wink? Awink, right?Asa signal. The signalto whichall hell breaks loose.
And instead ofunleashinghell(or at least, alittlebeforeunleashinghell), there is thissequencehere:
I know itwill be something else, butI'm the only one that thinks: this seemsthat someone isthrowingthe winein the face ofBedelia? Maybe yes, maybe not. With all the probabilities, this is blood. But to me, it seems that someone is being very rude.
And nowbeginsthecompilation: Bedeliaandrandom thingsto create some atmosphere.
Bedeliathatbathes.
(We must saythat until nowwe have seeninNBC'sHannibalalwaysshowersandnever baths)
Bedeliadrowning(obviously they had tobuya less deep bathtub)
Bedeliastilldrowning. Or maybeshelearned to swim.
Hands and blood, blood and hands and body parts: the specialties of the shots of NBC Hannibal.
Drops ofbloodand floors. Another classic. Let'sfeel the atmosphere.
Hands (gloved) and curtains. Beautiful. I like it. Theyembodythe expectation, you want to seewhat's behind. Onlythat, despitethe white glovesandthe clean curtains, behindI expected to seeaholocaust, a slaughterhouse. And instead ...
People dancing! Yes,finally! It isthefirst seasonthatI want to seea dance! Come closer, camera, please, approach...
We seeBedeliaandHannibaldancing. Alwayssmug expressionforBedelia. The expressionofHannibalisbetweenextreme concentrationandhaving tohold backfromtheremovethe face of someone with a bite. Maybe it'sthatwho have put together the promo, put in itthe onlytwo-secondsequence in which Hannibaldon't look happy, butthe expressionwithlip-biting withdrawnandclenched jawseems to persist.
Butfor nowwe do not care, whatwe careis thatwe will seeHannibaldance(with Bedelia, moreover, that will pleaseeveryonewho... well, who is happyabout this.Lucky Hannidelia's (or Bedannibal?) shippers.Here).
We already saw this sequencein the lasttrailer ...butwhere are you running, Bedelia? Ifthey make usseethis thing, it means that it issomewhatimportant.
Be a good boy, Hannibal. I can't tell you to keep your hands to yourself, because you touch everyone, but be a good boy. Only, don't be a JackHarkness. Leave "the being playboy"totheplayboys. Remember that youjust got out ofa relationship. And that you are a polite serial killer. AndI do not wantto see "weird" (read "sex") scenesbetween youandBedelia(personal taste, buteach one praysfor himself, right?).Okay?
And I'm also doing a lot of completely unnecessary stories for a scene in which Hannibal simply moves Bedelia's hair.
Oh. I can calm downalittle?Bedeliawith bloodon his hands. It could be theflashbacktowhen shekilled thatpoor manof his patient? I hope so, I'm curious about that.
Hannibal with a bow! I'm the only that find him cute? I love(and I'm oftenwearing) thebow ties. Should Iget onelikehim(the ones I usually wear, however, are more elaborate).
NO MARRIAGE. I watched thepromonotall at once, butstoppingalmostframe by frame and... well, onehas to think what, when he reads"nomarriage"?
No. Nononono. Keep your clothes on. It is an order. Later maybe, but not now. Do notinduceHannibalinto temptation, butdeliver us from evil, thanks. ButI'm wrong, probablyat this timesheis notat all withHannibal...
You see? Shedoes notlisten to me. Never and ever. Bedelia, put your clothes on! And nothing. Bedelia, help Hannibalas his therapist as it should! And nothing. Bedelia, stop causingdeathanddespairfightsindirectlythroughmental manipulation! Butwhen ever.
My certainty? HereBedeliais spyingHannibal that is doing something he should notdo. Orthat he should do, buthe's doing it with very few clothes on.
See? NO MARRIAGE IS PERFECT. No. Not one in the world.
This piece, as they talked, Ihad to lookit for entire andunderstanding...andwhat the helldid he say? I did not understand it (not perfectly). The accentis not quiteclearand I'mItalian... Someone can help me? I understood only the end of his phrase, "would kill you". Of course her accent is indeed perfect and the reply is "not entirely".
@HannibalArt He said "You're optimistic I won't kill you?" - She answers: "Not entirely."
Oh, thank you very much, Patricia! Is that a gun? Total panic! Because whilethe other charactersobey(almost) alwaysthe lawof"do what they thinkthey need to do/I order) Bedeliagoesin exactly the opposite: when I saynot to shootatHannibal, shewill shoot. I can almost see Hannibal on the floor, bleeding and asking "Why Bedelia?". And she replying "Itoldyoua billion times. And you weretoo busyto say"Will WillWill"."
Last, but not least, theclosing screens that arereally, reallybeautiful. Not thatI do not likethosewho they havepreviously shown(the simplest, usuallyred and black), buttheseare best suited fora third seasonthat isheraldingrichandbaroque. Also note thehashtag"BrideofHannibal" that reminds me much the"Bride of Chucky" orthe "Bride of Frankenstein's monster"
