Fannibals - Issue #4

This issue of "Fannibals" comes out with resounding delay. But it is a delay fully justified: we all Fannibals were committed to saving, literally, Hannibal ... obviously the series, not the person. Oh yes, because NBC decided to cancel it and then our show remained without a house and has seriously threatened to not have a fourth season. Bryan Fuller has been trying to reassure us, he told us that in one way or another there will be a fourth season, but not all have the seraphic calm our showrunner. Personally I was very involved in creating art to support the cause of #SaveHannibal.
It is not just that ... it's been a busy month. And the heat (now it is very hot) does not allow me to work well: I am much more productive during the winter months.
However here we are! And it is a great period for the Fannibals, despite the cancellation of the television series: we are landing in the heart of the plot and wonderful things will happen. Last week Will was pushed off a train and Hannibal was beaten by Jack Crawford. What incredible misfortunes are still waiting for our heroes? We'll find out in the next episode!

Happy Holidays, my fellow fannibals!

“Bang, bing, sbang” aka Happy New Year!

Oh, What a issue we have this month!

In addition to the usual articles, and to my illustrations, we have also fabulous illustrations from other artists, including also a fantastic Dory Hartley (also known as "Lucival" or ... "The Erotic Cannibal") artwork that can be considered as an alternative cover.

Then we have two wonderful fanfictions dedicated to the New Year!

There is also a new section with many curiosities, the "Jimmy's did you know that...?".
And unfortunately there aren't photos submitted by cosplayers, nor recipes from fannibal cooks ... we are still too few. But we will grow!

And we have tought also different activities to make you all participate with your opinions and a twitter account: go to page of this fanzine to discover how!

Obviously, also continues the comic adventures of Provolino, a crossover between the notorious manga series Hellsing and NBC Hannibal who sees our Dr. Lecter host a very special family (and make lose all the patience to our dear Will).

But he have also a mini (but not too much) comic that you will appreciate for sure! I don't say anything about this, you know, no spoilers.

We expected much more fanfictions for this issue, but maybe the time for writing one was too short... oh, sorry, writers!

Calling for the writers - We need short fictions about the New Year

Oh yes! For the next number, that will be all about "the new year", we want to insert more fanfictions in the same issue.
Something like seeing different celebrations on the new year that comes.
I will ask several of my writers to make a short fanfiction (as long as you decide) on the celebrations of the characters of NBC Hannibal (or simply on their thoughts) about the new year.
You can choose the characters you want to include in the piece, at your discretion.
Simply, we want to see many, many, many different kinds of New Year!

I will personally illustrate each of fanfiction that you will send to me (and before they arrive, the better the illustrations).
Remember: no sexually explicit content. For the rest, unleash your imagination!

Think you cope? Send your fanfiction, even very short, to the e-mail cavolobroccolo@live.it by December 31 and you will see it illustrated and published in the next issue of Fannibals!

F.A.Q.  

-Is any pairing okay (including Hannigram or Zoom or Preller or Winstonsauce?)

Each pairing can be included, tolerance and education should be the highlights of fannibals, then. Then extra points if it's really Wistonsauce (Winston-Applesauce) XD

- And can it be kind of AU ?

And of course it can also be set in any alternative universe: the greater the difference between the fanfictions, the better. We want the reader to have fun.

- And can it be tragic/drama/sad/gore?

Yes.  And it can also be of any kind: we all know that the tragic (and gore) are good to those like us.

-What is the deadline to submit my fiction?

31 December 2014. Otherwise I don't have time to create illustrations!  And first come, the better is.

Fannibals - First Issue!

...And finally came out the first issue of this magazine online!
Oh. I'm happy because after so many doubts and uncertainties we were still able to put something together.
Many will think that it is a poor choice to put Garret Jacob Hobbs on the first cover of "Fannibals". Ok, maybe I think a little this too... but Mr. Hobbs is an emblem.
Emblem of the first season, the remorse of Will, of his hallucinations and fear.
And then there is an article in this issue entirely dedicated to the actor who plays him, Vladimir Jon Cubrt, of which many do not know almost nothing and will be surprised to read some of his talents.
Also, there is a review of the first episode of the first season, where he is the "killer of the week".
So I decided to draw just Garret Jacob Hobbs (in clothes a little different from usual) on the cover of the first issue and I hope you enjoy it.
I recommend you... stay hungry as ever!

E finalmente è uscito il primo numero di questa rivista online!
Oh. Sono felice perchè dopo tanti dubbi e incertezze siamo riusciti comunque a mettere insieme qualcosa.
Molti penseranno che sia una scelta infelice quella di mettere Gareth Jacob Hobbs sulla prima copertina di "Fannibals". Ok, forse lo penso un pò anch'io... ma Mr Hobbs è un emblema.
Emblema della prima stagione, del rimorso di Will, delle sue allucinazioni.
E poi in questo numero c'è un articolo tutto dedicato all'attore che lo interpreta, Vladimir Jon Cubrt, di cui molti non sanno quasi nulla e si sorprenderanno nel leggere di alcuni suoi talenti.
Quindi ho deciso di disegnare proprio Gareth Jacob Hobbs (in vesti un pò diverse dal solito) nella copertina del primo numero e spero che vi piaccia.
Mi raccomando, rimanete affamati come sempre!

Fannibals: the magazine

My sister and I (especially my sister) we had an idea, seeing the cover of "People".

 

What if there was a magazine only for our people, for we Fannibals?
So... How about creating a kind of e-magazine titled "Fannibals"?
A small magazine in pdf that comes out monthly (And it's distributed free), full of fanart, artists interviews, updates, news and fanfics?

I know that seems strange that it's distributed for free, and you think "what we gain?", but you mainly gain more exposure for your blog and your fanarts and fanfictions (there will be links on the magazine) and then we do it mainly for enjoy ourselves and to inform our fannibal friends. Seems funny.

Someone wants to help me? Or I have to do all by myself?

So, we have to do something like (of course these are only examples, just to make you know what we want in these e-magazines):

We need:
- An interviewer that every month do an interview with a different fannibal artist (I can do it, but it's a funny task, so if someone other wants...)
- A writer who checks my grammar XD (I'm Italian)
- A writer capable of doing the reviews of Hannibal's episodes
- A curious, willing to watch some movies, which brings together information about the actor of the month, and that can write a small article
-  A translator from Italian to English good enough, if I write a few articles on nutrition or recipes in the kitchen that I'm not quite able to translate (you, we will make the recipe of the month, with lots of pictures)
- A writer of short fanfictions, because every month there will be a different one on the e-zine (also fine fanfiction that you have already written previously and published on some other internet platform). I will illustrate his novel personally!
- A co-fanarter or two (I have to do all the illustrations alone? Yeah, I'm fast, and I love drawing Hannibal things, but a little help would be good...)

Any contribution is welcome! When the project is ahead, we will accept also publish photos of cosplayers and recipes that the fannibals will send us.

I think it's a good project ...

...And it certainly will keep us busy while he-ate-us.
